TERMS & CONDITIONS
By accessing, browsing, using and/or booking/ordering a tour or event with us, you acknowledge to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
Booking and confirmation
All bookings with Fjord Events needs to be in writing. This can either be done by e-mail or through our online booking system. Once Fjord Events has confirmed the trip, it is binding. The person who makes the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all the people in the group and is responsible for all payments due. You need to be at least 18 years of age to be able to make a booking.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing to Fjord Events by e-mail. The deadline for cancelling a booking is 14 days. Fjord Events needs to receive the cancellation within specified days prior to departure. The trip is not cancelled before Fjord Events confirm the cancellation.
- Trips cancelled earlier than 14 days will not be charged.
- Cancellations made between 13-7 days will be charged 50% of the total price.
- Cancellations made within one week will be charged 100%.
- Cancellations due to illness is not covered by Fjord Events. We recommend everyone to have a personal travel insurance.
Adjust booking
Adjustments for booking has to be done in writing. Bookings can be adjusted up to 7 days prior to departure. Changes done within 7 days before departure will not reduce any prices.
Delay - Roundtrips
Customers being delayed does not have the right to move the trip ahead. Trips being delayed by 30 minutes will not be extended by 30 minutes. This can however be arranged - if Fjord Events have the capacity - for an additional fee.
Delay - Transport
If the customers are delayed there will be an additional fee for every 30 min. The fee is NOK 1 500 per 30 min per boat.
Fjord Events reserves the right to depart without customers after 15 minutes of waiting.
Visibly Intoxicated
Fjord Events puts safety first. Drunk or intoxicated people causes a safety risk at sea. Captains at Fjord Events have the right to prohibit people who appear visibly intoxicated before departure from entering the boat. It is the customers responsibility to make sure every participant is soberly before departure. Cancellations due to intoxication will not be refunded.
Weather and Force majeure
Fjord Events reserves the right to cancel activities due to unforeseen circumstances that will affect the safety of our operations. Force majeure can be: weather, floods, snow, ice, landslides and other factors that make the activity a hazard for our customers, staff and/or equipment.
The trips can be cancelled with short notice. It is Fjord Events that takes the final decision on whether to cancel the trip or not. The trip can also be adjusted to other waters with better conditions. If an activity is cancelled due to Force Majeure, the guest will be fully refunded. Fjord Events does not cover travel and living expenses that which accurs due to force majeure.

The customers obligation
You are obliged to familiarise yourself with the terms of sale for each activity, and to convey this information to other participants you have booked/ordered on behalf of.
Information of personal health and fitness level
It is your responsibility to make sure that your fitness level fits the activity recommended and booked. Each participant must inform the guide of medical conditions, illnesses or disorders that may be relevant for safety reasons or aggravated during the event/activity.
You are obliged to comply with the instructions given by the guide
The overall responsibility for the safety of the group belongs to the guide. For the guide to take responsibility for the entire group, each participant is obliged to follow any instructions given by us and, the guide/tour leader.
Acceptance of risk
All outdoor activities like those we offer, carry inherent risks. We operate a robust safety management system and always try to reduce risk, however we cannot mitigate all risk from our trips.
By participating in our trips you acknowledge a degree of personal risk. By booking or ordering a trip with us you acknowledge that participation in our activities involve risks above and beyond those encountered on a more conventional holiday.
We do not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by customers or can be traced to their own actions or are caused by factors outside of human control (Force majeure) unless the accident is due to serious negligence by the guide.
