Fjord Events AS takes your privacy seriously. This page explains what information we collect when you book a tour, contact us or visit our website, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

Bookings are made through the booking system Bilberry. We record your name, email address, phone number, number of participants and, where relevant, the age of children. Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
We use this information to complete your booking, send confirmation and practical information, contact you about changes or cancellations, and keep track of who is on board for safety reasons.
Legal basis: Processing is necessary to perform our contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
If you email, call or use the contact form, we keep your enquiry and contact details for as long as needed to reply and follow up.
Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
For corporate events we store the contact person, company name and invoicing details. Participant lists are handled as described under bookings.

We use cookies and similar technology. Necessary cookies that make the website and booking system work are set without consent. Cookies for statistics and marketing are set only if you consent in the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used, and Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure and target advertising. These services may transfer data to the USA. Transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) and the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act section 3-15).
We never sell your information. We share it only with suppliers who help us deliver the service:
• Bilberry AS – booking and payment
• Stripe – payment processing
• Google and Meta – statistics and advertising, only with your consent
• CookieYes – cookie consent management
• Outfront AS – website hosting and maintenance
• Accountant and auditor – where required by law
All suppliers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use the information for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to the police or maritime authorities following an incident.
• Booking details: Until the tour is completed and any complaints are resolved, then 5 years as required by the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act.
• Enquiries: Up to 2 years after last contact.
• Statistics and advertising data: According to the suppliers’ standard periods, normally 2–26 months.
You have the right to:
• access the information we hold about you
• have errors corrected
• have information deleted when we no longer have grounds to keep it
• object to processing based on legitimate interest
• withdraw consent
• receive your information in a machine-readable format
Send an email to post@fjordevents.no and we will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before releasing information.
If you believe we process your information unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), postkasse@datatilsynet.no. We would appreciate it if you contact us first.
We update this policy when needed. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
