Extended Lysefjord Safari Tour – Experience Norway’s Wild Beauty, Just for You

Experience the beauty of the Lysefjord like never before. Join FjordEvents on an exhilarating RIB safari from Stavanger to the village of Lysebotn on one of Norway’s most iconic fjords. This is not just sightseeing. It’s a front-row seat to towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls and dramatic landscapes.

From City to Wilderness – On Your Schedule

Your private fjord journey begins in central Stavanger, only a short walk from the cruise terminal. After gearing up in warm floating suits and a detailed safety briefing, your private skipper welcomes you on board your RIB boat – ready to go when you are.  The tour starts calmly through Stavanger’s harbor, where you’ll see the city’s highlights from the sea – Old Stavanger, Tollboden, and the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. As the city skyline fades behind you, your skipper gradually increases the speed, and soon you’re gliding across open water surrounded by rocky islands, crisp sea air, and crystal-clear horizons.

Every moment is yours – stop when you like, cruise as fast or slow as you wish, and let your captain shape the experience around what you want to see most.

Where Nature Takes Over

The adventure starts in the city center of Stavanger. From here the course is set towards Lysefjorden. As we cruise into the Lysefjord, you’ll experience:

  • The world-famous Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) rising 604 meters above the fjord

  • The dramatic Hengjanefossen waterfall, where we get close enough to feel the spray

  • Majestic granite cliffs carved by the Ice Age

  • Remote fjord farms clinging to steep mountainsides

  • Wildlife sightings, including sea eagles, seals, and porpoises (if we’re lucky!)

The journey continues all the way to Lysebotn, a small fjord village at the very end of the Lysefjord, surrounded by steep mountains and the famous Lysevegen road with 27 hairpin turns.

We make a short stop in Lysebotn before heading back to Stavanger — giving you the full fjord experience in one unforgettable round trip.
